Ghyll Royd Welcomes New Staff and Pupils

Ghyll Royd School and Pre-School are delighted to welcome new pupils and teaching staff at the start of the Autumn term. The school and Pre-School have strengthened their specialist teaching staff with the addition of three new teachers in Art, Modern Foreign Languages, Music and Physical Education.

Mr Nicholson joins the school as Form 5 class teacher, specialising in ‘Child Development’ and ‘Learning Outside the Classroom’ he brings a wealth of experience in sports having previously represented England at basketball.

Ghyll Royd is also joined by specialist Art teacher Mrs Smith who prior to joining Ghyll Royd was Head of Art at Malsis School. Mrs Smith will also teach French and Spanish alongside her art commitments to children throughout the school.

The Music and Drama curriculum will be delivered by Mrs Coultas. Mrs Coultas has previously taught at Moorfield and Westville House and brings with her over 25 years of teaching experience.
