Back in July, Key Stage Two pupils put on a spectacular show for their end of year production. For those of you who couldn’t make it, or for families who want to see it again, now’s your chance! See below for details.
‘Cinderella and Rockerfella’ was a massive hit among fellow pupils, teachers and family members in the audience. The children loved belting out the big numbers, and performed beautifully to a full Hall. To see pictures from the performance click here.
Over the next few years, we want to improve and make our performances bigger and better! With the introduction of our fantastic Drama teacher Mrs Hughes, we are sure that the children’s confidence and acting abilities will soar to new heights.
Speaking of new heights, we would also like to enhance our performances with the introduction of tiered-seating inside the Sports Hall. The ‘Theatre of Dreams’ campaign is off to a flying start with generous donations from the Ghyll Royd School families and the local community. Thank you to those of you who have already donated. We welcome and appreciate donations of all sizes, from 50p at one of our bake sales, to sponsoring and naming a seat for £250 as we aim to raise a total of £32,000.
We have recorded this year’s KS2 production and are now selling DVDs of the show, proceeds of which will go towards the ‘Theatre of Dreams’.
