In September 2017 Bradford Council rolled out the 30 hours free childcare offer to local nurseries and pre-schools. Ghyll Royd School offers the 30 hours to eligible parents of 3 and 4 year olds, and has seen a positive increase in attendance and session times during the Autumn term.
The time has come for parents to apply for their 30 hour childcare places for next term. If you are already eligible and have been receiving the childcare offer, you may be asked to reconfirm your place via the HMRC portal. It is your responsibility to reapply, but Ghyll Royd School can assist with any queries you may have.
If this is your first time applying for the 30 hours, you are advised to do so by Thursday 30th November 2017. Please note: if you do not apply before Thursday 30th November it may not be possible for you to receive the 30 hour funding in the Spring term. Apply online through Childcare Choices. Once you have received your code, please pass this onto Ghyll Royd who will supply you with a 30 hour consent form which needs to be filled in and returned with a form of identification for your child.
HMRC have set up a helpline for families who are having difficulty registering. The telephone number is 0300 123 4097. If you require any further information on Ghyll Royd’s 30 hour offering, please email information@ghyllroydschool.co.uk or visit our 30 hour childcare page.
