Over the weekend, Year 5 created Lockdown Memory Jars by writing their favourite memories on slips of paper. They also took the opportunity to write about the negatives and those times they found frustrating.
The first thing the class did after returning was to talk about resilience and the growth mindset of changing a negative into a positive.
They buried their Lockdown Memory Jars and then planted a tree in the grounds of GR School to say goodbye to Lockdown and welcome the future.
“The resilience of never giving up and turning a negative into something like a tree is really important. Goodbye Lockdown!” – Kirk & Maria, Year 5
