Ghyll Royd School pupils enjoyed participating in this year’s Wharfedale Festival of Performing Arts. Twenty pupils took part in this year’s Speech and Drama Festival, with great success.
Children take part each year as an opportunity to try out public speaking. It is fantastic for young people’s confidence.
We had brilliant success this year, with eight children placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd. They recited their poems to an audience of other children parents and festival patrons in their age categories before a short wait to find out the winners.

Form 4 – Annabelle (2nd), Nell (3rd)
