Macmillan Coffee Morning

Homemade Lemon Custard Tart with raspberry decoration

Parents, Teachers, Pupils and Governors joined us for our annual Macmillan Coffee Morning last week.

We expanded the morning from our usual bake sale to also include a breakfast from 8.00am. Families had the opportunity to drop in before the school day began to enjoy a bacon sandwich made by Chef Dave. We had a steady stream of families join us over the morning, with parents getting the chance to catch up over coffee whilst raising money for a good cause.

In the School’s Entrance Hall we had donations of bakes for parents and children to enjoy croissants and cakes. Sweet treats ranged from chocolate fudge cake, flapjack, lemon custard tarts, Victoria sponge, chocolate brownies and millionaire’s shortbread.

Together we raised a magnificent £289.80 (+£32.85 gift aid) bringing us to a total of £322.65 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Thank you to all those who joined and supported us.
