On Friday, our weekly Stay and Play session saw plenty of new faces visiting Ghyll Royd for the first time.
Mrs Coultas led the Little Notes session by encouraging the children to dance to the music. We made crashing thunder and trickling rain sounds using drums and bells.
In Art Splash, Mrs Davis showed us how to create our own bookmarks as part of World Book Day.
After the sessions, we could choose any activity from colouring, to arts and crafts, to playing with Mrs Davis. Our mums and dads also enjoyed tea and biscuits provided by Chef Sean.
We really enjoyed playing in moon sand and making a big drawing on the floor with crayons and stencils. We then grabbed our coats and wellies and headed outside into the Little Adventurers garden where we played in the sandpit, drove scooters and miniature cars, and explored the grounds.
Stay and Play takes place every Friday morning (term time only) from 9.30am – 11.00am for children aged 18 months to 4 years old. The sessions are free and refreshments are available. To find out more please visit our ‘Stay and Play’ page.
