We are delighted to inform you that the children from the 2023/24 cohort are thrilled to have secured places at Ilkley Grammar School, Bradford Grammar School, Upper Wharfedale School, Prince Henry’s School and St Mary’s Menston after passing their entrance exams for the school of their choice with outstanding results and scholarship offers.
Below you will see our latest SATs results, where we have retained a 99.8% average pass rate over five years. A very well done to all our Form 6 class who have worked so hard this year to achieve these fantastic results. This year nationally 61% of children reached the expected standard in reading, writing and maths.

Pupils at Ghyll Royd School secure places at their secondary schools of choice be it 11 plus, maintained or Independent schools through consistently completing entrance exams successfully, many entering into higher level streams and on academic, sports and musical scholarships. Our small class sizes and approach to teaching through the ‘Learning Challenge Curriculum’ enables the school to provide a very individual approach to learning, ensuring each child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
